Welcome
Dr. Reigh sincerely thanks the thousands of patients, friends, and referring offices who have and continue to support our practice. We welcome new patients and congratulate you on taking the first step towards better periodontal and dental health. We work closely as a team with your referring dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required for a visit to our office. We welcome referrals from patients and friends of the practice.

PATIENT AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION
What Is A Periodontist?
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease and in the placement and maintenance of dental implants. Periodontists are experts in the treatment of all forms of periodontal disease, including gingivitis, periodontitis, and gingival recession. The American Dental Association recognizes periodontics as one of the nine specialties of dentistry. Periodontists receive extensive training, including three years of additional education beyond dental school.
By choosing a specialist you will benefit from the latest procedures for treating periodontal disease and placing dental implants tailored to your needs. In addition, Dr. Reigh can perform cosmetic periodontal procedures to help you achieve the smile you desire.
Our office is dedicated to providing you, our patient, with the highest quality of personal attention and professional care. Our mission is to treat every patient as if she/he is our only patient. We work as a team to insure your visits are pleasant and comfortable. We take pride in our training and in our commitment to you. QUALITY OF CARE
- We are committed to exceed the mandatory continuing education standards in our profession. Treatment is performed using progressive methods and materials which improve the results of treatment. Surgical materials, bone grafts, connective tissue grafts, membranes to guide cellular growth, and dental implants have the highest quality and safety standards. We strive to prevent discomfort during and after treatments with specific aftercare instructions and appropriate medications. Nutritional counseling is also very important to your care and well being.
STERILIZATION
We are trained in sterilization procedures and their appropriate use. “Universal Precautions” are used to prevent transmission of any infectious viruses or disease. Some of these precautions are visible to you during dental visits, like the use of gloves, masks and protective eye wear. Disposable supplies, surface disinfectants and plastic covers ensure hygienic treatment. We are a latex free office. All instruments including hand pieces are heat sterilized. Surgical treatment is performed using filtered sterile water for the hand pieces or sterile saline irrigation. We use the most advanced equipment available in our sterilization process and the equipment is monitored for efficacy at regular intervals. Our techniques meet, and some exceed, those recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, the American Dental Association, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We are happy to show patients our techniques and answer any questions you may have regarding infection control.
